All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and at rest using AES-256 — the same standard used by major banks and financial institutions worldwide. Your information is protected at every point.
Bank connections are handled entirely by Plaid, the financial infrastructure trusted by Venmo, Robinhood, and thousands of other apps. We never see, store, or have access to your banking login credentials. Plaid uses read-only access — we can read your transactions, but cannot move money.
Sign-in and account management are handled by Clerk, a dedicated identity platform with multi-factor authentication, session management, and passkey support. Your account is protected beyond just a password.
Your financial data belongs to you. We do not sell, share, rent, or monetize your personal or financial information — ever. Our business model is your subscription, not your data.
Solara can only read your transaction history and balances. We have no ability to move money, initiate transfers, or take any action on your accounts. Read-only access is enforced at the Plaid API level.
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings. Deletion is immediate and irreversible. No retention periods, no backups kept after deletion.
Plaid is the financial data infrastructure that powers Venmo, Betterment, Acorns, and thousands of other trusted apps. When you connect your bank through Solara, you are logging in directly to your bank via Plaid's secure interface — not ours. Solara never sees your login credentials.
Plaid is regulated, audited, and holds SOC 2 Type II certification. It supports 12,000+ financial institutions including Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Ally, and most credit unions.
